The Girl in Me

Child, Young Child, Boy, Girl, Kid, Face
The girl in me has come
she was inside with Zoe
she was thinking what the world was
without girls
where the boys would grow long hairs
tapering onto spaghetti gowns
slit or open behind
imagine boys on shaved eyebrows
thick red lipstick
a world with only boys
in miniskirts
on stilettoes,
they would seem like soldiers walking a tight rope
who will woo such beautiful boys?
manspreading
suntanned bodies by the poolside.
They would never come home
cobwebs will look over the house
rodents will make dinner
Mummy will always see at the doorway
Handbags hanging on muscular alps
A world of football
Sleepovers
Hangouts
We came out to stop that world
We are girls.
